Tyler Oakley is a comedian, author, activist, and content creator known for his popular YouTube channel, tyleroakley. He is a well known figure in the LGBTQ community.
Bio
Tyler was born Matthew Tyler Oakley in Jackson, Michigan in 1989. He currently resides in Los Angles, California.
Tyler attended Michigan State University where he uploaded his first YouTube video in 2007.
Along with his best friend Korey Kuhl, he competed in the 28th season of The Amazing Race where he competed against RT employees, Burnie Burns and Ashley Jenkins.
Career
Along with his YouTube success, Tyler has made numerous media appearances with such celebrities as Michelle Obama, Ellen DeGeneres, and One Direction.
October 20, 2015 Tyler published his first book Binge which became a New York Times Best Seller. During the same year Tyler released a documentary of his life titled, Snervous.
