Austin Harper is an American animation producer, event coordinator, and project manager of animation development for Rooster Teeth. Prior to this he was an executive producer, video game producer, production manager, editor, and host at ScrewAttack.
Biography[]
Austin received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) of General Studies in Service Merchandising and Hospitality Management, Business Management, and Communications from the University of North Texas, attending from 2006-2011.
He currently resides in Austin, Texas.
Career[]
Austin first joined ScrewAttack in 2014 after leaving a long career in the restaurant industry as the manager of a Red Lobster in Roswell, New Mexico. He was brought on as an assistant merchandiser under his childhood friends Sam Mitchell and Chad James before quickly being promoted to many different roles.
After a brief period as the editor for Top 10's, Austin became project manager for the ScrewAttack Games brand and produced Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U and Angry Video Game Nerd: ASSimilation for Steam. After the department was acquired by Rooster Teeth Games, Austin was promoted to executive producer of ScrewAttack's DEATH BATTLE and Death Battle Cast. He has also assisted with the events management of SGC 2014-2016 as well as the late night programming of RTX 2017 and Rooster Teeth's 2018, 2020, and 2021 Animation Festival. Austin's on camera appearances are limited to ScrewAttack's former shows The Best Ever, The Industry, ScrewAttack Live, Sidescrollers and Death Battle Cast.
On April 24, 2018, he left [1] ScrewAttack to become a project coordinator for Rooster Teeth's 2D animation department, working on Camp Camp Season 3 and Nomad of Nowhere Season 1. [2] In March of 2019, Austin was promoted to associate producer, working on Camp Camp Season 4 and RTAA. [3] In October of 2019, Austin was promoted again, returning to work on DEATH BATTLE as a producer. [3] In March of 2020, Austin became the project manager of development for Rooster Teeth's animation department. [3]
